11Six24 Brief Review

The Vapor Power 2 was released on February 13th, and was received February 27th. Since then, I have put over 40 hours on the Vapor Power 2.

As a full time pickleball coach, as well as an avid player, I’ve spent countless hours playing with different paddles. Knowing this, I feel it’s only fair that I give a quick disclaimer: I prefer paddles that play slightly stiffer, hollow, and high on the power scale.

With the release of the Vapor Power 2, 11Six24 introduces their proprietary grit solution, Hexgrit. Hexgrit is designed to be a long lasting grit texture that plays the same at 100+ hours as it does straight out of the package.

This review focuses on the Hybrid Vapor version. Other shapes (Hurache X Elongated, and Pegasus Widebody) are also available for purchase based on preference.

Vapor Power 2 – Quick Paddle Review

Overview
The Vapor Power 2 is a middle of the road power paddle designed to be easily used by a wide range of skill levels. While the face layup has not been disclosed, it is believed that there is a layer of fiberglass, with two layers of carbon fiber. The core is full foam, and comes in lighter than many other paddles on the market. If you like high pop, medium-high power, and a very crisp feel off the face, this may be the paddle for you.

Specs

Performance

Power:
Low end of high power – During my testing I found this paddle to be less powerful on serves and drives than some other high power paddles, but oddly I felt that the power on overheads may have been higher than any other paddle I've used in recent memory.

Control:
Middle of the pack – With any power paddles, you can expect control to be decent at best. This paddle is very poppy, therefor making it harder for some people to control.

Spin:
Very high RPMs – The dip that you can generate with this paddle on drives/drips is superb. The shape-ability on the ball is one of the places where this paddle shines. To add onto this, after 40 hours I have seen zero noticeable change in the spin produced on all shots.

Sweet Spot:
Medium-Large – The sweet spot on the Vapor Power 2 is far from lacking, but doesn't have that "full face sweet spot" similar to the Selkirk Boomstick, or Luzz Inferno.

Feel
Very crisp, you have a great connection with the ball and should immediately know the quality of contact that you made with each shot.

Best For
Skill Level: 4.0+ level players, but could be a good first power paddle if you're willing to put in the time to tame the pop.

Pros
• DURABLE GRIT
• High pop
• High power without feeling unwieldy

Cons
• Harder to control due to high pop
• Plays better with weight than stock

Rating
Power: 8.5/10
Control: 7/10
Spin: 10/10
Forgiveness: 8/10
Overall: 8.2/10

Final Verdict
The 11Six24 Vapor Power 2 is a crisp, high-pop paddle with excellent spin and durable Hexgrit that maintains performance even after heavy play. While its power and responsiveness make it ideal for aggressive 4.0+ players, the high pop can make control challenging for players who prefer softer, more forgiving paddles. This paddle will be my main for the next couple of months, until I check back in after more paddle brands can catch up on the durable grit wave.
